x If anything is going to catch anyone’s attention, it would be the big fur on Sesshoumaru’s shoulder. Fluffy, big, and cuddly. That’s the reason Sesshoumaru has gotten his nickname, Fluffy. Though no one dares to call that to his face—if they don’t want an ass kicking, that is.
xAnother distinguishable feature of Sesshoumaru is the dark blue Crescent on his forehead, as well as the magenta strips on each of his cheek and his wrists. There have been debates on what other areas he has the magenta strips, but only stripping him naked would we get the answers.

PERSONALITY •

xFirst glance you could tell that confidence and arrogance just seep out of the Youkai’s pores. Surely no panic or uncertainty would ever cross the man’s face; and would be dead in a second if they ever dared call him ‘Fluffy’ to the face. Being a man of high breeding, these just come naturally, or so people think. A mask some would say that he wears to hide his feelings and others thinking he’s just naturally apathetic. A man with no caring towards other people’s feeling, and yet also a leader who is kind and caring; some fear him, other admire him. But folks, this is a one in a life time chance to get a good look at the Western Lord. To see his personality shine through clear.

xHe's a bit of a douche. Okay since we got that underway, he really isn't as bad as he makes himself out to be. Sure he'd kill anything that got in his way because dude, hello? He's walking there. Not to mention he thinks he's better than everyone so he will step on you. He doesn't really show that he's interested in anything, but if you actually look really hard he does give some underlining hints. You just have to squint really really hard. Sesshoumaru is a very hard person to please, but actually even the simplistic of things can please him. You'd be surprise what can get the youkai to smile.

xSesshoumaru’s relationship with Inuyasha is a hard one. It’s not like he likes his younger brother, but neither does he truly hate that hanyou. He does blame the death of his father on Inuyasha but there’s also a thin thread of guilt attached to his heart. Even after a few years of conflict with his younger brother, he still doesn’t understand what he feels for the hanyou. He feels required to show that Inuyasha’s living is worth the death of his only father. That’s it’s alright if he’s around and that he’s not that much of a shame on his family’s lineage. That he should push the Hanyou to his limit and see if he’s good enough. See if he, himself, can actually take the life of that pitiful hanyou.

He’s a male. What kind of male doesn’t like a sword? Besides it’s one of Sesshoumaru’s main weapons when dealing with a foe. It’s also the manifestation of his powers, Bakusaiga. Being taught how to handle the blade at a young age by his father, Sesshoumaru has always preferred the weapon over any other.

xThe hunt
The thrill of hunting a creature to the death gives a slight pleasure to the usual apathetic man. The adrenaline coursing through his veins gives him a slight arrogant feeling as he’s on top. He’s the top of the food chain, and that’s he’s more powerful than the prey.

xChildren
He would never ever ever ever …ever admit to liking children. No, he would never play with a child or dare try to understand those vile creatures, but he always had an amusement of watching them. Truly interesting to watch such innocent creatures play in ignorance of the many threatening and more powerful forces around them. Also a note, nor would he ever think of having one anytime soon. That’s what Rin is for.

xMeat
He’s a dog demon. He’s a man. He eats meat. Simple and straightforward. The main source of energy for the Daiyoukai, and it pleasurable reason to go out and hunt.

xSilence
As a man who has spent most of his time by himself, he’s never given much liking towards loud sounds and such. It also doesn’t help that his hearing is rather good, so it can be annoying for someone such as himself.

xPower
Oh he hungers it. He hungered at a point of not caring towards other’s well being, but over the course of the years, he’s gotten to the point that he would know his limit. Though that doesn’t mean he still doesn’t look for more when the opportunity for it occurs.

xRin
A little girl that he’s slightly seen as a daughter to him. Being a youkai that would never want to show that feeling towards the girl, he’s kept it subtle. As subtle as he could anyway, what with the kidnapping some time ago and all that. Besides that, he would do a lot for the little girl that’s traveled with him for a while. Not many woman can stand him, well she is a girl but you get the point. He’s regretted having the child join him in his travels, but leaving the girl to some other fate is more unbearable to the man.

DISLIKES •

xHanyous
Filthy creatures that never deserved the blood of Youkai, he could never understand how such things could come to be. He also still can’t understand how his father would bother wasting his life for something so small and petty. Even if Inuyasha is of his blood, the thought that because of him that his father died. Or even because of himself.

xLies
People who lie have no reason to speak to someone like him. If they have only wish to spread webs of lies around him, their better off dead if they prove to be nothing of use. He knows when someone is lying, so that's another reason to not do something like that. You can't lie to a dog.

xTalkative people
You know those people that just never seem to shut? The ones that like to talk around in circles, and just never get to the point? Those people, yeah Sesshoumaru doesn’t exactly like them. It proves more useful just to threaten them immediately before they start blabbing off.

xThe nosy
Some people can never get their noses out of other people’s business. It can prove to be frustrating to Sesshoumaru when he’s trying to do something. Which if he wanted someone to know, he would have said it waaaay before he started.

xDisrespectful people
Being a youkai of high breeding, of course he’s going to be naturally arrogant and an ego of Mount Hakurei. So when thinking of that, of course he’s going to hate people who hold no respect for him. Cause who wouldn’t in his opinion?

xRepeating himself
If you didn’t hear him the first time, what’s the point of saying it a second time? It truly gets frustrating when people start asking circle questions that never get him anywhere. He’s got a lot more important things than to just stand there and saying things that he said minutes ago.

xInuTaisho
The big bad papa, who died so pathetically. At one point Sesshoumaru looked up to the man, still do to a point, but that man just crossed the line when he arrived home with that Ningen smell lingering around him. How he practically slapped his mother by just openly displaying that he actually was around a woman, other than his mother. So many things went wrong and now he’s on his top list of hates.

xLove
Look what happened to Papa Inu. He’s dead as dead can be thanks to the woman Ningen, and Inuyasha. Some say love drove him into madness, and that’s why Sesshoumaru will never give a woman a second look. Besides most of them are coquettish and completely disrespectful, never knowing to talk when spoken to and all the jazz. Too much hassle.

xDishonorable Death
To die like his father did is something that Sesshoumaru really fears. He does not want to end up like his old man, and never never never would he have any reason to get himself into that kind of situation. Right?

HISTORY •

Childhood
Sesshoumaru was raised in a setting of high status. He never had to grovel for food, nor did he have to sleep in some dung hole to get away from preying demons. He lived in a mansion not too far from the Western Castle, and spent most of his time with his mother. Now in fact, Sesshoumaru is a Mama’s boy, but he also admired his father—whom he rarely saw at a younger age. He loved his family, oh he did, but since he spent most of his time alone never really having a childhood friend, he was seen as a wise-ass child. Always giving smart-ass remarks to his attendants, and being rather sarcastic with no respect for his elders, he was quite a handful; a reason why most people stayed far from him, and other children merely for the fact of who his father was. A powerful Youkai, when provoked, could cause their family to be nothing.

He spent most of his time in the studies flicking random objects at the anxious tutors, to the point that no one wanted to tutor him really. He was never exactly the best person to get into a conversation with, and his outward expressions were rather hard to understand for most. Socially awkward he was, and even so when he attempted to display his crush towards a young youkai girl. Let’s just say that it didn’t turn out okay, and giving a dead snake to a young snake youkai isn’t exactly acceptable. After that incident he was lucky he didn’t stir up some kind of battle against his father and the girl’s father. From then on he convinced himself that girls were stupid and not worthy of his attention.


So in the end he came up with some brilliant idea that if he beats the crap out of all the noble boy youkai, he would gain enough respect that they would play with him. That one turned out okay, if he didn’t accidentally punch this one older youkai who practically stuffed him into a barrel and roll him down a hill. After that, things went pretty downhill for him—literally. He ended up in a forest full of ‘not-so-nice-youkai-that-stink-really-badly’, where after walking around aimlessly, he met a ‘nice’ bear youkai. Okay scratch the nice part out and replace with vicious, because that’s what that bear surely was. Vicious and dangerous was he with a rather inexperienced young lord trying to fend for himself. Nearly being mauled a Western guard finally found the young lord, and saved the day! From then on, Sesshoumaru vowed to himself he would never be helpless like that ever again, or so he be damned and dead.

Adolescents

As he grew older, his attitude didn't change much. He was still hard to talk to, was still snarky, and hard to approach, but now he seem more distant to people. He never cracked a smile, rarely would you even see a smirk. At this time, he wanted nothing more than to crush his dad and show that he himself has power. That he was worthy of taking the Western lands, not just by bloodline, but power and strength.As it would seem, he was still too young to take his father on. He got his ass handed to him several times and sneak attacks don't help. He really should stop sneak attacking downwind where his father could smell him.

Then one year a dragon and her eggs were given to his father as a present. Seshoumaru was much interested in the eggs and actually wanted one of them. So his father made a bet, that if by chance that one of the eggs hatched two dragons he could keep them, but if not he had to stop his sneak attacks and worry about his studies. During the day he would attend his study and duties, but when ever he had the chance he would spend them with the eggs. He even slept with them. The one day, the egg began to crack and out came two heads followed by one body. It was extraordinary. The two heads showed independent thoughts and often made the two fall into a mess of biting heads. Sesshoumaru had won the bet, and from then on the two--well three really-- became travel partners. Though Sesshoumaru sucked at giving names so he just never named them until Rin came about.
